Dr. Counce performed a robotic lobectomy on my 87 year old mothers right lung. She left the hospital 36 hours later!!! He called to check up repeatedly even on a weekend! He saved her weeks of recovery and hours of pain thru his innovative approach. He is simply amazing and I would never hesitate to do anything he suggested. He is a doctor with old school care and thoughtfulness.

Dr Counce is an excellent surgeon. Almost 3 years ago, he took out the cancerous upper lobe of my right lung and I have had no problem since that time. Except for the scar, I wouldn’t know I had ever had a problem. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Counce used a bovine sheath (A material used in heart surgery) to hold down my colon in a gastric surgery. I gained absolutely no benefit from the surgery. Dr. Counce said to me that he was the only person that could fix my problem. Dr. Counce took it upon himself to do the surgery that he wasn't qualified for instead of referring me to someone with more experience.

Dr. Counce is a wonderful dr. I feel I wouldn't be here today if he hadn't took my case! The other doctors and staff he works with are great too. :)

Dr. Counce was recommended by a friend. He was all I could have hoped for. He performed a single bypass and "cleaned up" a regurgitating mitral valve (2002). About 4 years later he cleaned up my clogged carotid artery.I hope I never have to see him again ... but if I need a cardio surgeon, I'll be happy to have him work on me!
