Dr. Currier is a board certified radiation oncologist who trained in southern California at Loma Linda University. He and his family moved to Madison County in 1981 to start a modern radiation oncology program in Anderson. He has been involved in the planning and development of all of the radiation oncology facilities in Anderson, and is currently the medical director and CEO of the Madison County Cancer Care Center.
his efforts at the cancer center, he has organized a yearly national radiation oncology conference since 1996. The conference is currently sponsored by Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he has been appointed an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Medicine. He has been a supporter of the Madison County chapter of the American Cancer Society, serving for many years on its board and serving for a time as the local chapter president. He is also active in the Anderson and New Castle chapters of the Coronary Health Improvement Project, …assisting in and leading out in its health education efforts promoting an optimal lifestyle for the benefit of local residents. While being limited in extracurricular activity time, he enjoys gardening and is active in his church, being an avid Bible student. He also holds an amateur radio license and likes remembering (and planning) occasional times as a sawyer and woodworker. He has been strongly supported in these efforts by his wife, BJay, and is blessed with two sons and two grandchildren.
