Dr. James Issam Damalouji, MD

Dr. Damalouji told me he is no longer in charge of the Emergency Department (ED), but instead, is now in charge of the "The MedStar St. Mary's Administrative Team", which includes Quality and Patient Safety (Q&PS) and Patient Advocacy (PA), at least. - I went through all the proper procedures to present my case for care, and lack thereof, during my ED visit - I received a chemical injection without informed consent or given written consent. In fact, I only found the illegally forged consent form while looking on the Patient Portal, otherwise, I would have never known about it at all. - But then I started to wonder, why was the Dr. Damalouji building this stone wall around themselves when it appeared as if he wanted to help: I know, how could I be so naïve? But at this time, I still thought the doctor was the head of ED. - Then, suddenly, I remembered the speaker phone call, and it hit me, anytime I asked anyone if they even looked at the forged document, I got a canned… message, I am not a handwriting expert. Ah, a cover up indeed. - Then, when I tried to exercise my rights according to their own policy, Dr. Damalouji called my house two days later to tell me not to call the hospital anymore! He showed a total lack of respect for me and no regard for what I went through, he refused to meet with me, he used subterfuge to get me on the speaker phone call that I knew nothing about and had no time for which to prepare. - Lastly, his despicable behavior was shamefully unbecoming of a Dr. of Medicine, my opinion is that he put a blemish on the entire MedStar community.
