About six months ago I walked into the Aurora medical center's emergency room one afternoon and was immediately admitted into surgery because it was determined I had a ruptured appendix. By most accounts, I shouldn't have been alive (never mind walking) since my appendix had apparently burst about 2-3 days earlier. Dr. Denton was the emergency room surgeon and after about a 4-hour surgery I spend 11 days in recovery and Dr. Denton came to see me every day, even on his days off, to see how I was doing. I was on home on medical leave for four more weeks and I made a complete recovery with no adverse affects or complications to include my colon which had a portion removed. I was told that with the "mess" my insides were I could have easily died, and at the very least had lasting complications. I believe Dr. Denton's skill saved my life and am grateful for a full recovery.

Excellent rapport with me as a patient. He took time to explain my surgical procedure, in layman's terms, and made me feel quite at ease. He has a great personality.

I must be different or something, but I had a very empty experiance, with this Dr. I will admit, he did save my life, but the after call was not something to write home about. He seemed to me to have an attitude and in my opinion had the bedside manner of a mortitiion and the personalty of a dish rag. When he released me (which I thought was WAY too soon) did'nt have much to say and did'nt offer best wishes, NOR did he offer his hand. I find that not only unprofessional, but down right rude!!!!!

Dr. Denton is the best !! Visited me post surgery everyday and he I always made me feel at ease in his presence. Confident and caring...He can cut me open anytime !!

I would have given Dr. Denton more stars! He is the best! He saved my life! And his staff is wonderful! Definitely very caring! Dr. Denton is caring and saved my life medically as well as making me feel at ease. Thanks Dr. Denton!

An amazing surgeon, truly a rare breed. A highly skilled trauma surgeon with a high level of after care, including multiple daily visits after surgery if necessary. Very highly thought of among his peers.
