Dr. James Robert Dolan, MD

26 yrs ago I met Dr Dolan after a messed up cone biopsy by another Dr. for cervical dysplasia. Dr Dolan was so informative & patient with my young self. I had 2 little girls & became pregnant with my third. I was a high risk pregnancy d/t my botched biopsy . When I went into labor it was different than my other labors & ended up in a uterine rupture, DIC , and massive blood transfusions. I was very close to death for quite a while & finally they paged Dr Dolan who came in & literally saved my life. This is a very shortened version but I will say this. I am a nurse for 25 yrs. I’m very lucky to be alive. Drs & nurses may sometimes be a little “serious& rough around the edges “ but Dr Dolan is an excellent, experienced Dr / surgeon who knows his stuff. I’m here to kiss on my first grand baby because of him

Dr Dolan is very good at what he does. However got frustrated with me when I asked too many questions and was unavailable to discuss a treatment option that didn’t fit his protocol. That was years ago maybe he has learned that patients educated themselves and he must treat them ask adults

He is a very serious physician. He cares about the right treatment and making sure his patients are taken care of correctly. But after he gets to know you, you can get a smile and even a laugh out of him.

He is amazing!

Arrogant

I am recently diagnosed and am being seen by Dr. Dolan. Without giving too much information, suffice to say that I have worked directly with him in the past. He is an excellent gyne-oncologist/surgeon.

It's hard to imagine a better doctor than Dr. Dolan. His staff performs to his high standards. He has treated me several times and I will put my trust in him forever.

I saw Dr Dolan because my mom sees him for ovarian cancer and found out that she was BRCA2 positive I was tested and I am as well. He is not only a brilliant surgeon but I find him compassionate and caring with a great bedside manner. He saved my mother and we have been blessed to have her with us for 3 more years than any of us had expected and she is still fighting.

Today I had first appointment with Dr. Dolan. He is such a great person and such a wonderful doctor. I am glad that I had found him and he will do my surgery. I ail definitaly recommend him for any woman with gynocology and urology issue.
