Dr. James Everett Dunn, MD

After over medicating me, I not only was in a coma for a week due to this doctor prescribing two meds that interacted, and now my hip and part of my femur being dead and needing surgery, but I also went through the fun of withdrawal from all the narcotics I was presctibed. When I made a complaint against him, I was barred from the entire clinic. This is, in a nutshell, a bad doctor that loves over prescribing.

First visit to establish care: I waited a HALF HOUR past appt time early morning (9am appt.), after 5 weeks wait for an appt., he chatted about how he dislikes where I work for 5 minutes-all about him, he took a phone call while I was in the room with him, left to "give a shot" (Oh, when do doctors give a shot?) and was gone for 10 minutes. When he came back he didn't have his computer-left it "somewhere", so he said we were done. When I said I needed to talk to him about issues of care he said, "look, we're 20 minutes into a 15 minute appointment, so we're done". I called for a promised prescription a week later and after 4 calls (left messages with no response) and being insistent during the 5th was told by the nurse that he would do it: two weeks after the appt. when I called looking for the prescription I got the runaround about how he hasn't done it due to dealing with emergencies-by the receptionist. This time not even the nurse had the nerve to tell me. For two weeks he's had… non-stop emergencies, I guess. Really. I can't imagine a worse experience. When I requested to speak to the clinic manager, I was told I could leave a message on her voicemail because she wasn't there, or in some other office. No one knew where she was... Take this story as you will, but it is a cautionary tale of bad care. Just bad care.
