My husband had a bad experience last year with another dentist, who without explaining anything, did dental work without making sure the area was numb, causing him extreme pain. It was with trepidation that we tried Dr. Dutro and we couldn't be happier with the results. He took care to make sure my husband felt no pain and clearly explained everything before proceeding. His whole staff is friendly and put the needs of the patient first, doing everything they can to make you feel comfortable. This is the first dentist we have been to where the staff is more concerned about the patient then about the payment. By the way, in contrast to the review from a few years ago, they were very willing to work with us when it came to billing the insurance in a timely manner.

Refused to bill secondary insurance, did not notify me that they did not accept insurance prior to or at the visit. Billing manager refused to return call as did the Dentist. Hygenist was so slow I had to come back for a second office visit. I mailed a check with a letter requesting a return statement showing zero balance and they also did not comply with my request nor mailed me a receipt.
