Dr. James Richard Fick, MD

About 2 years ago he removed a ruptured disc from my brother and told him most of his pain would go away. Well it's been two years later and the pain is worse and ever since the surgery my brother does not have feeling in one of his legs .My brother told him how the pain didn't go away and he could feel something moving in his back and dr fick told him there was nothing he could do for him. Didn't even give him another MRI or anything like that . I would not recommend him as a doctor if someone is reading this comment and is considering him as theirs, just don't .He has made my brother and multiple others 10x worse .Woudnt want anyone else ending up like those that he has touched and told his surgery would make it better !

Did spinal surgery on me made the situation worse. He also put a hole in my spine, causing further damage. I can no longer walk without a walker and to make it worse I have drop foot that has caused falls resulting in a broken arm,foot and leg,all at once. He never did a follow up appointment. And was promptly fired from the facility, with no follow up from him or the facility. He deserves to be SUED! He is incredibly incompetent!

Dr. Fick always took a great deal of time to thoroughly explain everything I had gone through and the procedures ahead. He always returned my phone calls promptly. Dr.Fick has an incredible amount of knowledge, experience and thoughtfulness.

He is great....Anyone know where he went?I wouldn't or trust anyone else,but him....

I am walking to this day because of this wonderful Doctor. My father is now having problems with his spine and I can not find where he went....he left Hershey Medical Group and they wont tell you where he went....I would LOVE to find him as I think he is a brilliant doctor and would love to have my father seen by him!

Dr. Fick performed surgery on my father (Allen Stewart Williams) who at the time was 88. He was suffering from trigeminal neuralgia. Dr. Fick put us completely at ease. He was very thorough and his compassion showed. We are forever grateful. My dad is now 92 and thriving. Living his life pain free and able to enjoy friends and family.

Dr. Fick's diagnosis was right on. My problem was corrected with surgery and the pain is gone.

My experience with Dr. Fick went quite well. He thoroughly explained my diagnosis, mri films and the treatment plan he felt would be best in my situation. He spent more time with me during this visit then most doctors would. He did not recommend surgery for me at this time but a more conservative approach to give my body time to heal on it's own. I appreciate the fact that he is not all about doing surgery if it is not truely needed. I may end up having surgery in the future and if that happens I definately want Dr. Fick to do it. I highly recommend him and his staff at the Boalsburg Office.

He is wonderful. Staff is great. I had back and sciatic nerve pain for so long and with his surgery, I am pain free and have my life back.Mr. Nittany Medical Center was also wonderful I couldn't have been in more competent handswith Dr. Fick, his staff and the hospital.
