Dr. James Richard Fishman, MD

Very impressed with my visit. I had a failed procedure from another provider who wanted to rush me back into another surgery when, as it turned out I didn't need the surgery. The Dr. is brief but to the point and very experienced. The staff were very courteous and professional since day 1 which unfortunately has not been the case with other medical offices in the area. Highly recommend to anyone seeking an experienced urologist.

Dr. Fishman was fortunately on call at the hospital the morning after I arrived in the ER with excruciating left flank pain, vomiting, and sweating. I had no doubt I had a kidney stone which was confirmed by the ER doctor. The next morning, Dr. Fishman showed up promptly and discussed his plan with me based on his reading of the previous night’s scan. He was friendly but professional and to the point, my preference for a physician. He also seemed to be nicely conservative in his approach and ready and willing to begin with the least invasive and simplest treatment, with a variety of “plan B’s” on deck should they be needed. He made sure I was scheduled smoothly and arrived promptly to the surgery suite, patiently answering my and my husband’s numerous questions. No other urological interventions ended up being needed. When I suffered a setback due to a non surgical issue, he demonstrated concern, sympathy, and consideration, checking in on me sometimes twice a day, and according to… nursing staff, via phone consult with them several times a day just to see how I was doing. He remained involved throughout my hospital stay even though my issue was no longer of a urological nature, and was generous with his time and expertise. The nurses love him, which as a doctor myself, I know to be a very important (if not THE most important) metric by which to evaluate your provider. Although he is businesslike, he is also warm and invested. I can not recommend him highly enough.

Dr Fishman walked me through everything and did a great job of making sure I knew what was happening throughout the procedure. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I had a vasectomy and although I was super nervous I was never worried. Dr. Fishman knows what he is doing and wastes no time getting down to business. He was very professional and orderly. I could actually see his process in motion. You can tell after the countless procedures he's performed, he still pays attention to the details. I'm now recovering quickly with almost no sign the procedure was even performed. Highly recommend!

I had been thinking about getting a vasectomy for years....heard all the stories good and bad. After some admittedly brief research one name kept showing up...Dr Fishman. Few phone calls to insurance and his office later and i was booked. Procedure went extremely smoothly....Dr clearly knows exactly what he is doing, explains everything well, and did not waste time! I was in and out in less than 45 mins total. Recovery was was better and easier than i had expected....zero complications or issues whatsoever, which i beleive has a lot to do with the dr's expertise and precise work. Big thanks to Dr Fishman and his staff...they were great.

Went to Dr. Fishman for a Vasectomy procedure after researching multiple doctors/offices and determining he was the best choice for the No-No procedure. Making the appt. was easy...the staff was friendly and helpful, and Dr. Fishman was terrific...very friendly, patient in answering my questions, walked me through the process. The procedure itself was smooth and as pain free as it could be. My recovery has been ahead of schedule with very little swelling and no bleeding. I highly recommend Dr. Fishman for this procedure.
