Dr. James A. Foley, MD

Dr. Foley was an exceptional Dr. He has an amazing bedside manor. He listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. He put my mind at ease over the pain I was feeling. If I ever need a shoulder looked at again I will be coming to see him. Let's hope I never have to see him again.

I can honestly say my experience with Dr. Foley was the worst doctor appointment I have ever had. I waited over 40 minutes after my appointment time started to be seen, so I understand he may have been running behind but he spared about 5 minutes with me for my appointment. The entire time talked over me, cut me off and completely ignored my answers and any questions. The few words I did manage to get it he replied with flat out rude responses. He told me how surgery is the only way to fix it, so I asked if that’s what my last test indicated and he responded by saying he didn’t realize I ever had any testing.. he didn’t even review my chart. I can’t understand how a doctor would immediately jump to surgery after talking to me for one minute, without any testing, reviewing my chart, actually talking to me or clear evidence. I felt incredibly disrespected and disappointed after this appointment. I switched to another doctor immediately. I understand being a doctor may be stressful and… very busy but not all patients are the same and patients are human beings, don’t take an appointment if you can’t even listen to responses on important questions or try to help…

From the moment he walked into the room, I felt dismissed. Zero bedside manner. I'd spent the last 4.5 months in PT and visiting doctors after a sudden onset, work-related injury. While I thoroughly enjoyed my other practitioners, I'm tired of wondering and going to appointments and just trying to get concrete answers as to what was wrong with my hands. Dr. Foley immediately discounted previous diagnoses, told me it was arthritis, and sent me on my way with nothing aside from some printouts on the subject. I feel like he didn't even read my chart...and assumed that because I work a factory job, I'm not well educated. My Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Concentration in Psychology self already knew the one and only real piece of advice he gave me...ice, heat and OTC painkillers. Not impressed.

Very happy with the diagnosis and surgery performed by Dr. Foley on my torn distal bicep tendon.

Pre surgery visits : all questions and concerns were answered. Very thorough explanation of what to expect. Surgery and recovery went well with little scaring. Very satisfied with outcome.

People think public healthcare would lower quality and the handling of patients? It could not be worse than this.

I first had a cyst removed from a finger and recently I had carpal tunnel surgery. Both went very well and I am very pleased.

Excellent Dr

Dr. Foley fixed my trigger thumb. First, he tried a cortisone shot that worked well, but only lasted two months, so then he scheduled surgery, and within two weeks of surgery, my trigger thumb was fixed!

Dr. Foley did carpal tunnel on my right hand and did a fantastic job. My recovery was very short with no pain. Thank you Dr. Foley
