James Fruehan DMD With a deep connection to the area, in his blood, and a father as a dentist in the area, it was a natural choice for James R. Fruehan to build his practice where he was raised. Dr. Fruehan has a general and an aesthetic Dental practice that has served families in the area since 1986. The services offered at the practice, range from cleanings and preventative care to extensive dental restorations and cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry. With a brand new location and state of the art child friendly facility, our goal is to provide our patients with the finest dental care available in a clean, comfortable and pleasant environment, catering to your needs. Dr. Fruehan is a native of the North Pocono and Hamlin area. He graduated from Scranton Preparatory School in 1978 and Lafayette College in 1982, with a B.S. in biology. Dr. Fruehan received his doctor of Medical dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania, in 1986, where he completed his residency at Coatesville Veterans …Hospital, before returning to the Hamlin area. Dr. Fruehan is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Lackawanna County Dental society and the Academy of Sports Dentistry. Dr. Fruehan believes in consistent and continued training for himself as a practicing dentist, as well as his staff. Dr. Fruehan is also the staff dentist at St Mary's Villa, Friendship House, Devereux Center, and Child First Services. Dr. Fruehan and his staff also have experience with meeting the needs, with most special needs patients. As a proud and active parent in the community, you will also find Dr. Fruehan, along with his wife Debra, at one of their three children's sporting events in the area. Because of his commitment to home and community, and set of core personal value including service and quality, our practice has grown through the years thanks to our loyal patients, who understand the importance of good dental healthcare.
