Dr. James Laurent Gagne, MD

While he is a good doctor, my visit with him left a TERRIBLE taste in my mouth... I would never recommend a woman to see him for help.

Dr. Gagne is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He actually LISTENS to you and spends an appropriate amount of time with you when you have an appointment. The "appropriate amount of time" is not 15 minutes or 30 minutes or 45 minutes, it is whatever amount of time that is necessary to help you deal with what ever your issue or problem is. Sometimes that is 15 minutes and sometime it is an hour. Additionally, his billing is flexible and he only charges for the time spent with you. In other words, if it is a very short visit that is also reflected in the cost of the appointment. The same is true if you need an hour. This is the way the entire profession should use to calculate the charge for an appointment. Dr. Gagne has helped me tremendously and he always follows up. He lets me participate in my medical care and is always open to suggestions or alternatives. If you need a really honest, caring, insightful, doctor then Dr. Gagne should be contacted for an appointment. Do… not have the expedtaton that a visit with Dr. Gagne will be like other doctor appointments. IT WILL BE VERY DIFFERENT because Dr. Gagne really does care and he needs to "get to know you" to provide the best solution for YOU. He is asking all those questions so he can understand who you are so he can provide the most advantageous solution to your specific problem or issue. Simply put : "Dr. Gagne" is the best !

Dr Gagne is THE MAN...... I found dr gagne when I was at my bottom...... 100 lbs over weight.. strung out on tons of opiates...........and other things.... low self esteem........ terrible health.....TONS of issues.........and he helped save my life. Dr Gagne's passion is addiction medicine..... HELPING addicts get better..... not getting famous trying to do it ...... You won't find Dr Gagne rushing out of appts to take care of a higher priority patient- or because CNN wants him on a panel....... although if that is what he wanted to do he could do it better than Dr Drew.......... Dr Gagne is the real deal.......... he knows his stuff- is unafraid to call a spade a spade ( of you out for being full of it if you are being full of it) has an incredble personality and a wicked cool taste in music... something he will make a few minutes to discuss with you after the real issues you are there to see him about are taken care of. Doctor's help people- that is what they are supposed to do...… and Dr Gagne is VERY good at what he does. Not only does he enjoy helping you- he makes you understand that you are worthy of being helped... something that a lot of people that need his services might have forgotten... I know I sure had. Addiction is a horrible disease....and to be successful at fighting it having a knowledgeable guru with the experience and talents of Dr Gagne in your corner is something I would really suggest you do. Im still here 6+ years later... something that there is no question in my mind would not have happened had I not met Dr Gagne.

Out of the four he's the only one that has taken the time and actually helped me. The only problem is he doesn't take insurnace and is therefore expensive. Too bad only the people with money can get such great service and help. Highly recommend him.

My sons are training to be doctors and as often as possible I share with them what an awesome doctor you are. You spend time with us, you listen, you recognize that whole person care is vital and you have one incredible website!
