Dr. James Gatherwright, MD

I have been fortunate to have such a great doctor. Dr. Gatherwright has been my rock. He removed my left leg but saved my life and I am forever in debt to him. I asked him about his daughter and his wife and their dog all the time because he's a person that cares and he's a person that shows his emotions. You can tell he loves his patients. He has come to visit me several times already since my procedure. He has brought me food and drink, got out of his way to spend time with me. I can only give him a 10 out of 10. To me, he really is a magician with the heart of gold that gets bigger and bigger and bigger by the day. I could write all day about him but I will end right now by saying I love him as a doctor and I will stay in touch with him no matter what. Thank you.

I came to Dr. Gatherwright after the loss of my reconstructed breast, and being told by my former plastic surgeon that it was time to think about getting a breast prosthesis. At the end of this visit, he briefly mentioned there was a slight chance a microsurgeon could help me, but he never offered to help me find another doctor, or help me with getting a prosthesis. A few years later and a lot of searching for a new Doctor, I found a Doctor who gave me the gift of Doctor Gatherwright's name. On my first visit with Doctor Gatherwright, I knew I found the right Doctor. He took his time with me and listened to all of my concerns. I felt comfortable and well cared for from the start, and when I am feeling overwhelmed he eases my mind and assures me that everything is going to work out. I could not have asked for a more caring and patient Doctor. I now have a very beautiful free tram flap that is completely healed, and I am getting a breast implant, and fat grafting soon. Then I will… have a complete breast once again. I will need a few more procedures to complete everything, but I am beyond excited and extremely thankful for everything Dr. Gatherwright has done for me. He truly is the best.
