Dr. James Kiefer Gerstley, MD

Dr Gerstley treated me 4 years ago for breast cancer. He was kind and attentive and he explained all the options. Being diagnosed with cancer was overwhelming but Dr Gerstley and his entire office kept reassuring me that all would be well. I remember his response when I asked him if I should get a second opinion. He encouraged me to get as many opinions as I wanted, even suggested others in different places who he respected. In the end, after literature searches and meeting Dr Gerstley and other Radiation Oncology physicians, I chose his office. His team genuinely cared about me and everyone tried to make my experience as easy and pleasant as possible. His office provided a lot of support and smiles. Last year, I was at Yale Hospital for other issues and remembered that Dr Gerstley trained there. I asked about him and was told that he is a consistent pioneer in treatment . They joked among the department that one of their goals as a massive academic hospital was to be one step ahead… of Dr Gerstley,,,even just onceFour years later and I am healthy. I go for annual check ups and feel so great to be healthy and know my decision to choose that team was a great one.
