Dr. James David Gonzales, MD

I am a new patient and was very pleased with the office staff, the nurse, and Dr. Gonzales. I would highly recommend this doctor to others. He listened to my symptoms and asked questions, he took time explaining his diagnosis, and he took time to explain the medications and treatment plan.

Have never had any complications on both of the surgeries that he had done on me, one in the hospital with one stay overnight, and the second one in his office.

My experience with him was awful. Besides his assistant being snippy, he greets you with I am running behind, and uses words like I always win (whatever that means.) He doesn't care about the patient, he only cares about the next patient.

Exceptional care! Compassionate, skilled, likeable.

Dr. Gonzales did my apnea surgery 10 years ago and I'm still doing great. Would highly recommend this surgeon for any procedure. Excellent follow up and bedside manner.

Everything was exactly as the Doctor said for the surgery. I know several people that had the same procedures and all were happy.

THE PROBLEM I HAD IS WITH THE BEDFORD LOCATION OFF HOSPITAL PARKWAY!!! NEVER EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO BE A PATIENT, THE TELEPHONE OPERATOR WAS RUDE AND COLD TRANSFERRED ME WHILE I WAS IN MID-SENTENCE AND WHEN I TRIED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE FRONT DESK THEY SAID I NEEDED MY INSURANCE CARD...NOT A PROBLEM SO I PLACED HER ON MUTE, AS SOON AS I DID SHE WAS LAUGHING WITH THE OTHER FRONT DESK STAFF THAT I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE OPERATOR. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE EVER. ITS A SHAME BECAUSE THE THE DOCTOR MAY BE A GOOD DOCTOR BUT DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY HIRE UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE STAFF MEMBERS THE DOCTOR WILL NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO GROW THE WAY THEY SHOULD.

I'm not sure why so many people are complaining about Dr. Gonzales's "Bedside Manner." My experiences with Dr. Gonzales have always been excellent. I was referred to Dr. Gonzales because I couldn't breath properly which was causing me to have trouble sleeping at night. Dr. Gonzales took the time to thoroughly explain the operations that he was going to perform on me. He performed a septoplasty, rhinoplasty, scar tissue removal procedure, & turbinoplasty. The surgeries went way better than I expected. He performed a closed rhinoplasty on me which looks amazing! I have never felt more beautiful in my life. Also the other operations have made me breathe much better & I no longer wake up in the night because a stuffy nose caused me to stop breathing. Dr. Gonzales has been very courteous on all follow up appointment. He is a skilled doctor who treats his patients well.

I had surgery serveral years ago. He definitely knows what he is doing. My son had swimmer's ear constantly.. The pediatrician said he needed to quit swimming. Dr. Gonzales gave found a solution for him to continue swimming. At the time mt son also had a rash on his hand and he looked at his hands and gave him a script to take care of that as well. The last time I saw him, I had the "TexasCrud" type cough, after a few steroid shots, he was smart enough to have me try an anti fungal medicinal and it worked in a few days.

office staff attitudes are apathetic - just doing their job, nothing more...seem to be in a rush to get you out of the office or off the phone. There certainly is not an atmosphere of caring or concern. The doctor seems to know what he's doing, but there isn't a lot of time spent during the visit with you, not much reassurance and no follow-up. Gives you the impression that you are just "one more" he has to see during his day. Treats surgery like it's nothing, even though it is scary to the patient.
