James D. Gossett, DDS
Dr. James D. Gossett is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has been practicing in the New Braunfels and Schertz/Cibolo/Universal City areas since 2003.  Dr. Gossett was born in Ennis, Texas and received an undergraduate degree in Biology from Southern Methodist University in 1988.  He received a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry where he also completed a Teaching Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  Following dental school and his teaching fellowship, Dr. Gossett completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
During his training, Dr. Gossett practiced alongside world-renowned surgeons and leaders in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  He served as Chief Resident in 1999 and as Resident Surgeon for the John Keys Craniofacial, Cleft Lip and Palate Team.  Following residency, Dr. Gossett entered private …practice with Oral and Maxillofacial Associates of Western New York while his wife completed her residency.  In 2003, Dr. Gossett moved back to Texas and purchased Dr. Gary S. Barr’s practice in New Braunfels.  A second location was opened in Schertz, Texas in 2007.
