James A. Green, DDS
As an orthodontist I help my patient’s achieve beautiful, healthy smiles in a comfortable setting. I explain all the treatment options and then formulate a comprehensive  plan tailored to meet the specific complexities of each individual case. It is a pleasure to work daily with my dedicated and compassionate staff and to interact with our wonderful patients.
Education
I obtained my bachelor of engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.  I then attended  New York University Dental School  where I received both my dental and orthodontic degrees.  Since completing my training I have had the pleasure to return to New York University to teach students in the Orthodontic Program.
I have been in private practice in Commack New York since 1993. I love what I do because changing people’s smiles changes their lives.  I enjoy watching my patient’s progress through their treatment and ultimately leaving with a new beautiful smile that …boosts their self esteem.  I have been fortunate to watch my practice grow over the years and to get to know many of the diverse families in the community.  Often I treat multiple members in one family. It makes my day when they show up after completing treatment just to update me on their lives.
Outside the Office
I grew up on Long Island, and love raising my family here. My lovely wife, Anne, and I have three children named Eric, Matthew and Sarah. In my spare time, I enjoy sailing, running, skiing, and spending quality time with my family. I also enjoy helping others, and volunteer for the Special Olympics. It's great fun!
