Dr. James Wesley Guyer, MD

When having a dispute about medication given to my husband by another physician who was refusing my husband the right to try a different, previously used medication that could be self-administered and with fewer daily doses among other concerns, Dr. Guyer, being very annoyed with my persistence in understanding why we did not have the right that every other physician has given us in the past to having a say in his treatment and my confusion as to how it made no sense to me that the reason they denied my husband the new medication was due to the cost of the new medication ($75). This after I was told that in order to get a new prescription, since the Dr. who saw him refused his request, would require another $95 dollar visit on top of the $75 medication in addition to the $95 already paid for the first visit. (I can see how concerned they are for our pocket book.) How did this doctor, after all of his professional training, respond to my concerns? He hung up on me in the middle of a… question.
