I have been very impressed with Dr. James Hageman, and I would recommend Dr Hageman highly. My son has seen him over a period of 5 years or so for complications from a near-drowning. Dr. Hageman has always provided excellent care. He takes as much time as needed with each patient.

Dr Hageman always spends time talking to parents in the most patient way to explain what he thinks is going on with the child and how his plan will help. He is orderly and efficient, open-minded and experienced. I have recommended him to my friends whose children need help.

Two of my children have seen Dr. Hageman for years. He is very conservative in prescribing medicines, which lets me know that he is not throwing pills at my children to solve the problem. He is not touchy-feely, which accounts for the comment about poor bedside manner, but he knows what he's doing and is kind. That's what counts in the end.

He has treated my adult child for several years and has the poorest "bedside" manner I've ever experienced. My child's illness has persisted and he had done little in the way of offering new ideas. I think he 's just there to collect his fees.
