Meet Dr. James Hancock
I decided to pursue a career in dentistry because I like being creative, working with my hands, and my genuine desire to make a positive difference in my patients’ lives. I chose to open a practice in Lakeland because I felt I could best help the people in this vastly underserved market. My community is very important to me and I am proud to be serving the Lakeland area for over 30 years.
Education
With assistance from the GI Bill, I was fortunate enough to attend the University of Florida and graduated with my doctorate of dental medicine in 1979.
Continuing Education
I took a special interest in Invisalign® soon after it began and have extensive continuing education especially in this area. I am the most experienced general dentist providing Invisalign in the Lakeland area, but also provide all inclusive dentistry to meet the needs of everyone from students to seniors.

I am a native of the snowy Amish country of northeast Ohio and moved to Florida after serving in the Vietnam era. I am married and have three children, three step children, and five grandchildren. In my free time I enjoy traveling, camping, relaxing at the beach, spending time with my family, and Florida Gators’ sports.
