Dr. Harris is a great doctor. He takes time to answer all your questions, he is compassionate and professional. Makes you feel he is knowledgeable and cares about his patients.

Dr. James Harris was the most compassionate, respectful, courteous, and thorough doctor I have ever had. He answered any and all questions I had.

What a great guy. His bedside manner was unbelievable. During a very scary time he made the situation very manageable. Just cannot stress enough how wonderful I think he is.

After working in the medical field for 35 years, I can truly state that Dr. Harris is a most exceptional physician. The week-end after I had breast cancer surgery by Dr. Harris, he was due to go on vacation. While ON vacation, and late Friday night, Dr. Harris was kind enough to call me the results of the surgery and tell me that the margins were clear and that I didn't have to have chemo or any more surgery. What a relief that I didn't have to go the whole week that he was gone OR that week-end not know the results! Truly a most caring physician! Will never go to another surgeon!!! He takes time with you and you can ask him anything!

I had bouts of intermittent upper abdominal pain and rapid heartbeat and Dr. Harris, like many other doctors I saw, recommended gall bladder removal even though I didn't have gallstones that could have caused the pain and rapid heartbeat.So I reluctantly agreed to the surgery which made my symptoms even worse! Then to add insult to injury Dr. Harris said I needed to see a cardiologist. So I did and the cardiologist said my heart was in fine shape! Two years later after continuing frequent bouts of pain and rapid heartbeat a nurse practioner type doctor prescribed a beta blocker drug and it miraculously cured both my pain and the heartbeat problem! So all along I simply needed this drug and the gall bladder surgery and followup cardiologist visits were a massive waste of time, money and suffering.Dr. Harris's surgery skills are excellent, but his diagnosing skills are horrible.

I would recommend Dr. Harris to anyone who has cancer or is going through trauma surgery. He takes time with his patients and explains everything to you and when done asks you if you have any further questions. Great bedside manner.

In 1992 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and the best thing that happened to me was to be referred to Dr. Harris. If there were ratings above Excellent, he would get them. He always went above and beyond to ensure that I had the most excellent care. I was truly sorry when he left Sacramento. Any patient who has Dr. Harris for their physician is very fortunate. He is terrific.

I was having Gall Stone attacks. Went to the ER twice. Dr. Harris responded both times. The Doctor is very Professional and a really nice guy. He seems to be very smart and is Excellent at what he does. Had my Gall Bladder removed by him due to the Gall Stones. After the surgery, he explained all after care procedures. After i went home, i was having some pain. My Wife called his office, and he gave a personal call back within like 3 minutes. The follow up visit was awesome. I had the Surgery at Saint Marys, i must say thats a great hospital, the nurses were so good. I didnt have insurance at that time, i did not get any hassles by either the doctor or the hospital, and the doctor knew i didnt have insurance when he responded to the ER visit the first time.

Professional, reassuring and excellent results. I am fortunate to have had Dr. Harris perform my surgey under rather sudden and unexpected cisrcumstances. There were complications related to how severe my gall bladder was and the operation apparently went beyond what was expected. Dr. Harris explained all the details of the situation and made every effort to minimize my discomfort. I had not heard of Dr. Harris prior to being told he would be my physician and therefore had little time to research him. Apparently he had operated on a surgeon client of ours and came well recommended. It turns out that Dr. Harris is the best of the best for miles around.
