The nurses are very helpful, smart and knowledgeable, a pleasure to attend this Drs appointment in Knox. They explain things so I can understand. Thanks to the pretty blond nurse for her kindness.

Dr. Hasbargen is rude and has a bad bedside manner. My doctor is his partner why I have to see this man is beyond me. I would not go to him he is out for himself. He is uncaring and does not listen. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!

It was discovered through a CT scan five years later that during a routine procedure Dr. Hasbargen did on me to insert a catheter, he left the metal guide wire in my groin. It now sits extending from my external iliac to my inferior vena cava. I was told by a vascular surgeon that the procedure to remove it would be too risk due to it's placement. I'm only 25 and will now have to worry about the possibility of blood clot, infection, or embolism any time in the future due to this.

Overall, this M.D. is immoral, and should not be a licensed physician. His conduct, and that of his staff, is strictly immoral. Walk our of office immediately and find someone else.

Very professional,compassionate,I would recommend Dr.Hasbargen to anyone who is having kidney issues or concerns...He has been my nephrologists for 11 yrs. I was diagnosed w/End Stage Renal Disease and because of him,I understood my options and was able to choose the best treatment for myself...I rec'd a kidney transplant 7 yrs. ago and I still go to him...I wouldn't want any other Dr. for a nephrologist...

Dr. Hasbargen was called in to advise on a problem with my kidneys when I was approx. 8 months pregnant. He advised that the baby was not hurting my kidneys and they should go back to normal function after the birth. He was wrong. I am now left with 25% function. After the baby Dr. Hasbargen could not determine why my kidneys were getting worse so approximately 14 months later he felt that it was necessary to do a kidney biopsy. He used an ultrasound machine to locate the kidney and put a mark on my back with a pen. He said he would poke my kidney 2-3 times to obtain a sample. After 7 stabs at my kidney he said he would just stop because he was not able to get any samples. I was horrified. I have subsequently found that most physicians use a sonogram to locate the kidney and stab the patient with the kidney in plain sight. He seemed completely inept at treating me and to add insult to injury did not even put me on any medication to help slow the amount of protein my kidneys were… spilling for almost six months after I started seeing him which allowed irreparable damage to continue in my kidneys. Besides owing out of pocket $1200 for the botched biopsies I am stuck with the fact that I will never be able to regain the kidney function I lost. Please think twice about using this physician.
