Dr. James Daniel Hill

Meet Dr. James D. Hill, DMD
Dr. Hill was born in Greenville, SC and spent the first six years of his life in the Piedmont area. His family moved around the Southeast and settled in Charleston, SC in 1980. There Dr. Hill grew up, graduating Cum Laude from Summerville High School. He then attended Charleston Southern University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Business Administration. His interest in science drove him to pursue a career in the field, and he worked as a chemist for the Bayer Corporation for nearly 8 years. After receiving extensive dental work to correct a bite problem and TMJ issues, he discovered his true passion. He enrolled in MUSC’s College of Dental Medicine in 2003 and graduated at the top of his class with regard to clinical GPA in 2007.
Dr. Hill first practiced dentistry in Summerville, SC in a large, technology-oriented dental practice where he learned the latest techniques and procedures. In 2008, he …found the opportunity of a lifetime and a chance to return to the Upstate at a practice in Spartanburg that had been a part of the eastside community for more than 50 years. He quickly upgraded the practice to include all of the latest dental technology and redecorated to provide a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. He has greatly enjoyed getting to know his patients (many of whom have never been to another dental practice) and providing top-level service to the young and young-at-heart.
Dr. Hill enjoys hiking, camping, playing guitar, reading, various sports, and being a Spartanburg dentist active in the local community.
