Dr. Hogg believes his greatest attribute is the ability to communicate directly and honestly with each of his patients. He has many long-term patients that enjoy his sense of humor and ability to put them at ease.
He has also participated for many years in the Donated Dental Service Program that has helped hundreds of disadvantaged people in the Chicagoland area. He is a member of the Illinois Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and United Dental Resources.

Dr. Patel has been an associate in our office for the past two years. He was recommended by Dr. Fred Stroner, a clinical professor at the University of Illinois Dental School and former student of Dr. Hogg's. While attending the University of Illinois, Dr. Patel was honored with the outstanding Operative Dentistry Award.
Dr. Patel is no stranger to dentistry. His father and wife are also dentists. He currently lives in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Patients young and old alike enjoy his …easy-going personality and attention to detail.
In addition to cosmetic, general and implant dentistry, Dr. Patel also performs orthodontic procedures. The patient's full mouth braces are actually invisible plastic molds that are custom fitted for each case. The "Invisalign Braces" are a cosmetic alternative for adolescents and adults that want to straighten their teeth without the noticeable wires and brackets of the past. Dr. Hogg was so impressed with this advancement that he is currently under treatment for "Invisalign Braces" with Dr. Patel.
Dr. Avila is our new Associate to the office. He was recommended by Dr. Fred Stroner, a clinical professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School and a former student of Dr. Hogg’s. While attending the University of Illinois, Dr. Avila was honored with the outstanding Operative Dentistry Award, which recognizes student achievement.
Prior to receiving his D.D.S., Dr. Avila was a practicing Mechanical Engineer. He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Illinois in May of 2000. His work experience includes General Motors Corporation and Sargent & Lundy LLC. He feels engineering has enhanced his knowledge and abilities in clinical dentistry.
In addition to General Dentistry, Dr. Avila has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry. As a student he was privileged to have worked for one of the country’s premier Cosmetic Dentistry Groups, the Hornbrook Institute. They provide training and continuing education to practicing dentists in the newest and latest cosmetic dentistry techniques.
Dr. Avila has also completed training in the placement of painless, prep-less and needle-free cosmetic veneers. This procedure allows patients to receive the Hollywood smile they have always wanted with out having to undergo local anesthesia or tooth preparation.

We truly enjoy a family atmosphere in our office. My sister and hygienist, Peg Lanagan, joined the office in 1985. In addition to Peg, we have many long-term employees that well exceed 10 years in the office.
