James S Hu, MD

Dr. James Hu is a board-certified hematologist and oncologist who has dedicated over four decades to cancer care. He completed his medical education at USC and pursued specialized training through residencies at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, followed by a fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center in 1994. His extensive 44 years of experience in cancer treatment has established him as a seasoned specialist in blood disorders and cancer care. Dr. Hu communicates with patients in English.

Dr. Hu practices at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and sees patients at multiple locations in Pasadena and Los Angeles. He specializes in treating complex cancers including rhabdomyosarcoma and various types of sarcomas, particularly soft tissue sarcomas. His expertise includes providing infusion therapy for cancer treatment and conducting comprehensive metabolic evaluations to monitor patient health throughout their care journey.
