Dr. Humphries feels blessed to have served the dental needs of the Matagorda County community for more than 25 years. A graduate of Baylor University (B.S. in Biology), and the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston (D.D.S.), he is a member of the American Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association and the Ninth District Dental Society. He has extensive continued training in Cerec (Cad Cam) Dentistry, laser dentistry, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry, and always stays abreast of the most innovative and high tech advances in the dental field.
Away from the office, Dr. Humphries is very involved in the community serving on BCISD school board, Matagorda County Museum board, Honduras Good Works board, Bay City Lions Club board of directors, Wellness Matagorda board and is a Lay Eucharistic Minister and Sunday school teacher at St. Marks Episcopal Church.
In his spare time he enjoys traveling with his family, serving as a …dentist on medical mission teams, training and competing in triathlons, marathons, and cycling events, and also spending time with friends exploring wines from around the world.
Dr. Humphries is married to Elsa Mercado Humphries and they have one daughter Christina.
