Dr. James L Hunt, MD

This doctor should retire. He stood on trial at an appeal of guardianship case for one a patient. He sat there saying the 95 year old man that test with no short term memory and failed a screening test for cognitive ability was completely normal and full cognitive ability. He refused to do any follow up bc he knew this person for a long time and they talked about the weather and motorcycles (his past). The elderly patient had the apt scheduled and was taken by his neighbor that was being paid and that hired the appeal attorney. The neighbor went thru his mail, wrote checks, did his taxes and talked on his behalf constantly. During the appeal he had this person cleaning his house, taking out garbage, picking up groceries, made appointments, paid bills (they wanted to hide), basically everything to give the impression the elder was fine so the neighbor could be given 300k of property. This elderly person now calls on a daily basis confused about things and constantly need things he… forgot about. Has a pitcher of banana peels covered in maggots on his counter. Constantly showing he requires constant help and attention. This doctor is the reason elder abuse is so prevalent. He needs to retire. Showed nothing but arrogance and bias

I've been going to Dr. Jim for almost 30 years. He is one of a kind! Would never change doctors ever!

Dr. Jim is the best doctor I have ever had. I trust him, I feel like he cares about my health and he always takes time with me - I never feel rushed or like I am "a number". He is extraordinarily compassionate, which is so rare! He has helped me through a lot. I would recommend him to anyone.

Was a patient of Drs. Klerk and Bateman for 43 years, as Dr. Bateman eased out of everyday activities, I selected Dr. Jim. The insurance company forced a move to another practice, when the opportunity arose I went back to Dr. Jim, the smartest move, and I thank God I could come back to this practice. I went to see Dr Jim Hunt for a routine check-up. It turned out to be anything but. The diagnosis was grim, but Dr Hunt was warm and caring and helped walk me through the steps that lay ahead of me. Thank God, I am now doing much better. Dr Hunt is by far the BEST doctor I have ever had. I feel truly blessed to have him as my primary care physican.

Dr. Jim is my health-care "partner". He listens to my questions, concerns, and opinions and always treats me with respect. He is knowledgeable and yet willing to admit when he doesn't have all the answers. He doesn't hesitate to make a referral when the situation requires it. He attends to my medical needs with a perspective attendant to me as a person - not a case, nor just a condition.
