Service is suck. Rude people .charged my mom a total of 350 dollars for missing an appointment when she was never told about the policy or even give her a reminder call like all doctors do.my mom is 78 years old and didnt remember about the appointment. All they care is about the money and not about the health of the patients. My mom is on a early stage of alzheimer and was trying to be seen for the firts time with this doctor. What a start. Dont recommends this monsters it all.

I went to the doctor my first visit and he did not request my records. He instetaaked rapid fir E questions about my health barely listening. He discounted my GERDS diagnosis demanded I stop seeing a specialist for that and insisted on weening me of my ambian and omneprazzel prescriptions. He advised me of his new dosage but changed his mind after the appointment and gave me 1 week supply treating me like a drug addict. Avoid this doctor. Doctor who will actually treat you in office without referring g you to 20 different doctors..A life saver

Dr. Hurowitz is one of the most compassionate doctors that I've ever been to see. A true primary care physician, he's right on top of all my medical conditions, Keeps track of all records of my specialists and meds to truly ascertain the my health as a whole. I would highly recommend him as a pcp, especially for the elderly.

Steer clear of this office. The staff is the rudest I have ever encountered and the doctor himself refuses to be questioned or explain why he is doing what he is doing with patient care. I suspect he prescribes needless drugs for elderly patients.

I was also double billed several times, even after I and my insurance company contacted the billing department over and over. The man in the billing department insulted me personally on many occasions while also denying that he had received payment. This was despite the insurance company's check numbers for every payment they made and proof that the checks were cashed by the Hurowitz Medical Group. Good doctor and nurse, bad billing.

I received a bill for a $30 co-pay for the physical visit($25 co-pay + $5 billing charge), and was told by BCBS that Dr Hurowitz submitted not only a claim for the physical, but also listed it as a visit for a "shoulder problem or complaint". My attempts to rectify this with Dr Hurowitz's billing department were not successful, and I was ultimately told that if I did not pay the $30, I would no longer be welcome as a patient.

The two staff people here are the rudest, most disrespectful and unprofessional that I have ever met! They treat people with a condescending attitude with complete disregard that patients are human beings! Besides that......I was once about SEVEN minutes late for an appointment and Mark(the obnoxiously rude guy that must pay the bills in the office) and Linda (the nasty nurse with a condescending attitude) told me that someone else took my time slot just now(I am stil entitled to use the remainder of the 20 minute visit, aren't I??!!) They informed that they would charge me a whopping $150 late fee on my credit card, which they did. Nowhere does this office state that if one is so many minutes late then the late fee will be charged! Of course if I had known....I would not of jumped hoops to get there at all!

Office Appointments are made with no overlap so you walk right into your appointment. If the doctor isn't right in it is because he's talking with the previous patient - a courtesy that is extended to you as well.He looks at the overall patient health and shows genuine concern when there are issues.As a side note: When I first went to him, I was new to the area and had no idea what to expect (he's my first PCP outside of the pediatrician). His greyhound Maxine was there and put me right at home. Greyhounds are hypoallergenic dogs, they have hair not fur, so Maxine would just walk around the office and say hi. Maxine passed away late in 2008 and a new greyhound, Lincoln, is wandering the office. This just made me far more comfortable since greyhounds are very docile dogs and love a good ear scratch.
