Dr James Ingram

I have been a patient of Dr. Ingram since he set up in Sumter. I am now looking for another Dr. He is condescending and arrogant to his patients. He talks to you like you are stupid and any question you ask is an insult to him. I finally realized he is not the GOD he thinks he is.

My first visit with him. I got there early so I wouldn't waste his time. Finally got to the examining room and waited...and waited...and waited. Finally the nurse stuck her head in the door and said, "I'm sorry! The doctor forgot you were here!" He came in shortly but before he could get any words out of his mouth I asked, "Doctor, before we go any further, I need to know if this is par for the course. Will I always have to wait forever to be seen?" He got all bent out of shape and retorted that he doesn't use a clock but spends the time necessary with each patient (wish I'd have thought to say, "Strange since your front desk uses BOTH a clock and a calendar.") And I noticed that he didn't seem to want to take all the time necessary to answer my questions. He also said that if I wasn't happy with his procedures that he'd recommend that I continue to look for a doctor. That is ONE thing we can agree on and I took his advice. They called me today to schedule a… physical and I indicated that since Dr. Ingraham and I would never be able to get along that I would try to find another doctor. He may be a good doctor, I don't know, but there are too many doctors and life is too short to put up with this. His bedside manner is the worst I've encountered. Let me note that this is no way a reflection on his staff...they were excellent, maybe the only thing that keeps his office afloat. Finally, I'd never go back to this doctor.

The doctor and his staff are so professional. Dr. Ingram takes good care of my health.

He is genuinely concerned with my health and well-being and I would highly recommend him to new patients.

Good doctor, but hope you have time to wait because you have a LONG wait in this office. NOT because he spends a lot of time with his patients, don't know WHY he takes so long. But after waiting quite a while in the lobby, they will put you in the exam room which is tiny with NO air circulation and will leave you there for at least thirty minutes which is claustrophobic!!!

Needs to go define the word doctor. Rude! Rude! Rude! Payed out of pocket to go see another doctor just so I would not have to go back!
