Dr. James Irwin, MD

Had cryoballoon ablation for afib in 2014 and still afib free. I found Dr Irwin to be kind and very patient in answering my questions, even went so far as to write down the answers for me. I felt very comfortable and secure in his care. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would not hesitate to go back if needed.

in 2014 I had consulted Dr Irwin r: A-Fib and and Cryoballoon Ablation. Dr Irwin was informative, patient, kind and put me completely at ease. I had the procedure and, so far, have been A-fib free for 6 years. I would not hesitate to return should I need a "touch-up". The staff is warm and knowledgeable.

I wrote my wife a suicide note due to my A-Fib causing me not to sleep,eat,etc. Dr. Irwin did my ablation four year ago. If he was a girl(good-looking) I would kiss him. He saved my life !

Dr Irwin is great after years of cronic AFib I found Dr. Irwin, I will never need another doctor. His staff is not the best but there is a trade off.

Dr. Irwin is extremely dedicated to his work. He is through, explains everything and easy to talk with. I had a crypballoon ablation over18 mos. ago and all is well. I also have an implanted loop recorder. Dr. Irwin is the best and I highly recommend him.

Dr Irwin is my hero, if you want the best, see Dr Irwin. You will be a lucky person if you have Dr Irwin, he saved my life. I have A-Fib and had the ablation surgery. He knows his stuff, I am a lucky person and alive today with all my thanks to Dr Irwin.

I was so nervous about finally finding someone to finally FIX my Afib. I had read all of the certifications and studies that dr. irwin has participated in. I had been told by several doctors that he is the best there is. I had two different cardiologist continue to put me on medications (with terrbile side effects), perform cardioversions, and even try to talk me into the old fashion ablation (which I have read can take 4-5 tries). Luckily I trusted a family friend and did my research on dr irwin. He was a very quiet guy but when I got him talking about afib he lit up! He was so passionate about the Cryoablation Catheter procedure and he spent nearly 30 minutes just explaining it (although he's so smart he talked over my head a few times) , but I knew, he knew exactly what he was talking about! I had my cryoablation done at St. Josephs and went home the next morning. It has been more than six months and I am afib free! No medicines and no trips to the ER for… cardioversion! The whole team there was amazing and I just want to share my story and my thanks. This has changed my life! If I had listened to my old cardiologist I would still be going through the horrible cycle. I'm sure they aren't too happy that I don't have to see them so often anymore! Anyway thanks Dr. Irwin to you and your team! You changed my life! You're the smartest guy I know!

Dr. Irwin fell asleep during bedside manner 1.01. In my opinion, he does not communicate with his partners or he wouldn't have had to tell me he did not agree with the procedure that had been scheduled by my regular Dr., his partner 10 minutes before the operation. I was upset and stressed beyond belief. He has no compassion or maybe he cannot show it, he needs to think about the patient that he is about to cut open and less about his ego. Think before you go to him.
