Dr. James D Joslin, DO

I'd seen other doctors at swma for years. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia & arthritis. I was taking pain med for bad pain I was in. My 1st Dr. moved & the Dr. after said he couldn't do anything else to help me. I switched Dr. in hopes they could help me. I didn't want to keep living in pain & thought there had to be something to stop it. I started to see Dr Joslin in 2017. I had only seen him a couple times when he had me do a urine test & said it showed positive for THC. At 56, I didn't use pot in any form. My son smoked it in the other room after it was legalized. I told him I didn't use it. Joslin said it was very small amount but he didn't believe me & put me on a DEA list. I wouldn't sign something saying I wouldn't use THC on my meds if it did. Plus I had seen him 3 months before that and had a urine test that was fine. For the last 4 years, pain has been so bad that I'm usually in bed, in worse pain than ever. If I go to ER or Dr's, they think I'm trying to get pain med like… some kind of addict! I've had No quality of life. My body hurts too much! In the past, I went to pain management and was going to ask for a shot in my neck for the arthritis in my spine. I asked the Dr. there if I could ask a question. She said, "well I'm not giving you any pain medication." of course I told her I just wanted to know if I can get a shot to help. The shots don't last a month and it's hard to get someone to drive me. Even ER is condescending towards me when I don't even ask for pain meds. My kids made me go to ER for a TIA and another time cause my doctor went on vacation and didn't leave anyone to refill Lyrica. I was on the highest amount and no one was there to refill it. I was going through some kind of withdrawal symptoms. My kids told me I had to go to make sure I was alright. The doctor was very condescending and started talking to me with baby talk! Then gave me something for my stomach and said it would work better than pain medication. I didn't ask for pain medication!! This is my painful, bed ridden life now. My kids have to bring me dinner upstairs in my room now, because I can't do it without pain like I'm going to die sometimes. This is no way to live. All because Dr. Joslin wouldn't believe the truth! He's a horrible doctor!!

Spends plenty of time with patients. Listens and respects what you say. Highly recommended!

Now a corporate doctor. Takes 4 to 6 weeks for appt and then he has no recollection of previous appt. or things said. Very untrustworthy!!!
