Dr. James Anthony Kim, MD

I began seeing Dr. Kim when my previous Doctor retired and ended his practice. After bouncing around several physicians, I was fortunate to have found Dr. Kim. As a clinician he listened to my concerns about previous experienced issues and diligently worked with me to find a well executed pain management treatment. Dr. Kim is well versed in modern pain treatments and willing to explore alternatives when I expressed a desire to stay away from Opiates. Many Doctors do not listen to patient concerns about certain medications as they are hoping to use what is being sold to them by pharmaceutical companies and their representatives. Dr. Kim openly discussed the pros and cons with me, listened to my desires and through careful experimentation developed a very successful program for me, requiring minimum medications and maximum relief. His continued monitoring was evidenced by his familiarity with me and my history during ever visit. He takes the time to review his notes and previous… discussions, offering a variety of options. He listens, has a good sense of humor and take a "no nonsense" approach to dealing with the issues that often present with dealing with chronic issues and insurance companies either modifying your medications or denying coverage based on their opinions. This practice is common and used by insurance to reduce their costs, while Dr. Kim has the ability to defend his opinion (and your treatment) by responding to the insurance companies "diagnosis" with the proper response to have them step back and let him be the doctor. Dr. Kim has been an excellent physician and his practice offers several locations in the Southern California area, allowing patients to visit his satellite offices where it's most convenient for them. He does not over-book patients, and while there will always be delays (some patients require additional time) Dr. Kim always makes sure he knows you're waiting and will explain the delay or even multi-task while ensuring all of the patients receive the best possible exam and care.

All the Doctors are very nice and patient. Wait time is not long at all. The staff is very nice. I seem to see Dr Kim more often he is so nice and listens to you. I have had several injections, Dr Kim makes you feel at ease and is gentle not much pain getting the injections. Also Artie is so very helpful, she has help me so much with forms that need to be filled out and faxed along with other things I needed help with, she is so sweet and kind. I do recommend.

Dr. James Kim is wonderful, he listens to your concerns and where the pain is and he works to find a solution. His staff is fantastic and you won't be disappointed. He is a Dr. that really cares about the people.

It there where 6 star i give it to Dr James Kim,after suffering since 2007with 5 herniated disc,and seeing other pain management facility's and being so unhappy with the doctors care i had received,i needed to change. Dr Kim ,is all i could have hoped for in a medical practitioner. I have had nothing but positive experiences , very dedicated caring and explains everything i have questions on,"may you never change" ,patience feel so much more comfortable with your great attitude..I have seen him 5 times . Happy i found you Dr Kim...
