Dr. James Jupyung Kim, MD

Ok his bedside manner is a bit abrupt...however...he spent some time with me. He actually touched my neck and shoulder where the pain was to try to assess nerve damage. He ordered Xrays, and they were immediate, he brought me into his office, sat me down, showed me the exrays, explained my issues to me clearly and understandable...informed me nicely that his office doesn't treat this but he could refer me to Dr ______. Anyway, I didn't feel he was condescending, but I wouldn't call him warm. He was actually better, and more respectful to me as an overweight middle aged white looking american female than I expected from an older, Asian, non US trained foreign doctor. Though I am in extreme pain I didn't even think to ask for pain killers because I wasn't seeking pain killers, I was seeking information about what is causing the pain so we can fix it.

He has absolutely NO bedside manner, is condescending, doesn't answer questions or explain what is going on. He spends as little time as possible with the patient. He doesn't care about the patient's concerns . I question his decisions and regard for my well being. I'm in excruciating pain and was told by the nurse that he never gives prescriptions for pain medication.
