Dr. James Lau

Dr. Lau put a GJ tube in me. For the next 4 years the site did not heal. It formed a fistula. When I went back to him he offered to ressect my bowel with more surgery. I feared scar tissue in my small bowel so I turned it down. Intervention Radiology later found two non dissolving stitches that Dr. Lau left in and caused my fistuala. Concidering malpractice.

Dr. Lau was nearly two hours late. No excuse or apology at all. He thanked me for the thorough summary I had prepared for him. Said, he wished each patient would do that. Visit lasted all of five minutes. Told me that removing the pelvic mesh would be impossible and dangerous. He would not do it. When I asked if I would be haunted by chronic pelvic pain for the rest of my life, he said "yes," and forwarded me to the Pain Clinic in RWC. Followed up with him via Stanford Internal e-mail, reflected what happened during the visit and recommended we have a cup of tea together. The visit was an insult to me as a human being.

I DID NOT HAVE A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THIS DOCTOR,HE WAS VERY RUDE AND TOLD ME TO SPEAK FAST BECAUSE HE DOES NOT HAVE A TIME FOR TALK.He is not any doctor choice at all.
