Dr. James Kennedy Lightfoot JR., MD

I feel so blessed when I met Dr. Lightfoot at emergency room in Adventist Hospital 3 days ago in White Oak. After been rejected by Urgent Care I was rushed to go to Emergency Room which provide me with amazing Emergency Skill doctor provided by Dr Lightfoot. Dr Lightfoot showed empathy and willingness to observe every detail of my complains. I have fibromyalgia, I deal with pain daily. But my pneumonia and bronchitis make my pain getting worst, more than regular pain that I had in the last 3 weeks. Then after that I got Influenza type A, as his diagnoses. I feel burnt all of my body, pain, headache, vomited many times including in emergency room. I couldn't eat well in last 3 days. I feel so weak and frustrated of my breathing and heavy cough and diarrhea in same time. Dr Lightfoot showed me his compassion, his best effort through his professionalism emergency doctor skill by make best diagnosis and actions, especially breathing treatment and IV medication helping me a lot. He is… good listener and willing to spend time to listen patiently to listen my complains even my words is not clear because its hard for me to focus to talking when I am in pain state and closing my eyes. I do not remember his face, but I remembered he stated his name, Dr. Lightfoot. He observed me carefully and politely and heard my plea to help me many times to for free of all my pain which burnt me from head to toe with tears. He told me, I understand your pain and I will make sure your pain been treated now. And he did. Two nurses came and do their job very fast perfectly in left and right of my side. In the end, he spent his time again to explain about my health after the xray and lab result come, and educate me well regarding my diagnoses. I went home after couple hours at emergency room with very different level of pain. My chest pain getting better, my breath become normal, my mucus production lower, my fatigue at chest and back become light. I want to say thank you very much for Dr Lightfoot (and his team works) for his professional job to help me by save me at emergency room to make me feel free of pain. May God bless him abundantly with best health and long life, and also wisdom to do his professional jobs to be blessing to many people in the emergency room like me.

This was the most compassionate doctor outside of my family doctor that I have ever met either for circumstances of my own, family or friends that I have been closely involved in care or treatment of. He has given me some hope that I really needed after much tribulation and he genuinely shows his concern and goes out of his way to go beyond the basic call of duty. I am truly amazed and blessed to have had him cross my path while unexpectedly having to visit the ER in crisis and I hope he is blessed in his life.
