Dr. James Watkins Lowry

I have had to see this poor excuse for a dr twice. Both times I had to go to the ER for vomiting. (I had gastroparesis at the time) Both times he gave me Haldol and Benadryl to stop the vomiting. (He called it his own concoction.) Even though he knew this caused me to have a severe adverse reaction the first time. My heart rate shot up and I went into a full blown panic attack. He ended up having to give me cogentin to help reverse the effects of the Haldol/Benadryl concoction. He was also very demeaning towards me when he found out I was a bank teller. He made snide comments about it. I’m guessing since I’m not doctor I am not worthy in his eyes. I am so thankful my stomach issues have cleared up. But I’m scared to ever have to go to an ER in this area again out of fear that he will be there. It was literally one of the worst experiences of my life. Something should be done about this awful man.

He was demeaning. I was there because I was in pain and could not stop throwing up. He did not seem the least bit concerned. He then gave me haldol, which made me feel even worse. Which makes sense because I read that haldol is an antipsychotic given to those who suffer from serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia. I do not have a mental condition. I went there expecting help. I was scared, and had been throwing up for days. I knew I was dehydrated. He was no help. It has been two days and the effects of the medicine he gave me are still wearing off. Never again. I hope I never get sick or injured because I never want to have to go the ER ever again. Even the nurses seemed uncomfortable around him. That's never a good sign.

Never have I been treated so horribly by a doctor or any professional individual. He had a total disregard for anything I was trying to tell him, discounted what my general doctor sent me for and treated me for something completely different. His demeanor was if my illness was a joke. He Prescribed Meds that caused me to end up hospitalized he has a total disregard for people themselves nor any compassion for family members. I would never advise anyone to seek his care and if he was in the ER I would go elsewhere

This doctor has a serious lack of compassion. Disgraceful service.

I've never been treated so badly by a doctor. He ignored my pain, treated me for a condition I did not have, and seemed to be amused by the whole process. The nurses seemed uncomfortable with his treatment of me and I am still in pain. Horrible doctor.

This compassionate, lovely doctor gave me the best care I've ever gotten! My hemorrhoids are much better now, and I highly recommend him to anyone needing emergency care.

He is absolutely horrible. He did not believe me when I told him how much pain I was in and he barely looked at me or talked to me. Nurses did everything and were very nice. He sent me home to die because he didn't take time or care enough to help me. I ended up in emergency surgery in Charlotte 24 hours later and spent a week in ICU.
