Dr. James Anthony Lucio, MD

I was scheduled for an appointment about 3 weeks out from when I was referred. They waited two and half weeks, then called to cancel the appointment because the Dr was going to be at a different office. Then they set up a virtual office appointment with me on the same date because he was going to be at the seperate office. Two days prior to the appointment, they sent me a text confirming the appointment. On the day of the appointment, I waited 30 minutes online and never saw the Dr. Their scheduler said that the Dr was making rounds at the hospital. They have no idea where their doctors are apparently. They want to charge fees if you miss an appointment, but it is ok for their Dr to just change his whenever he wants. So now I have waited 3 weeks for nothing.

There are not many reviews, but please do not ignore them. The patient care and concern in this office is non-existent. I waited 90 minutes on hold over three separate calls just to talk to someone in scheduling. Once I finally got someone, they would listen to absolutely nothing I said on the phone, had zero patience to understand a unique issue I’m having, and with no care and rudeness said we simply will not see you. I had already contacted my insurance directly because of a unique issue, they literally directed me to the office as the preferred provider, and said to just let them know everything is approved and they can call for verification. I never got the chance to explain, and scheduling essentially hung up on me. Please take your business elsewhere, the level of care and service that this office finds acceptable is not an experience worth dealing with when it comes to your health

Dr Lucio is a very good pulmonary specialist. Unfortunately the office staff leaves allot to be desired. You can NEVER get anyone on the phone to make an appointment. I waited 40 minutes & finally had to leave a message. Tried to call several times. Booked 1st appointment after lunch & waited 75 minutes & still was not seen. Great Dr but terrible office practices.
