Dr. James Phelan Lyons, MD

Great doctor! Funny and pleasant. Gets me in and out of appointments so I can get back to my day. Times where I've had more questions he sat, listened, and answered.

Dr. Lyons is efficient and professional. He never made me feel ashamed or uncomfortable. After my exam was over, he sat and talked with me for over twenty minutes about my options and going over every single question and concern I had without ever making me feel rushed. He was open and honest while still being caring. He was empathetic enough to realize when something he said concerned or scared me, and would then explain it further until I felt better about it. Overall I think he is a very kind, quick, and efficient ob/gyn and he'll be the only one I go back to.

I would highly recommend the Women's Room and Dr Lyons to anyone. The staff are very helpful, caring and polite. Dr Lyons is outstanding, no-nonsense but I like that. He gets straight to the point, will answer any questions you have in depth and is obviously very capable. I felt completely comfortable at all times and he always followed up with me after any complications or extra tests. One of the best OB/GYN doctors I have experienced and if I decide to have another child, there is no question I would have him deliver it again.
