Dr James Maher III

I am so disappointed he moved away from the Florida panhandle!! I've been able to have 8 children now thanks to Dr.Maher properly diagnosing my blood-clotting disorder. He's a fine doctor and greatly missed!

He went above and beyond to see that I had a healthy pregnancy. Out of 8 pregnancies, he was the only one to help us bring home a happy, healthy baby boy. ( 7 were lost due to so called professionals ) In my family's opinion there will never be a better doctor!

I was referred to him w/my 1st pregnancy w/triplets. He was rude & unfeeling. He told me to take IBU & some herbals, which the doc's at Sacred Heart NICU said that is what more than likely gave 2 of my babies horrible health issues (which my son & daughter did pass away) I WOULD NOT recommend him to take care of a dog. And like some of the others said there was no pelvic exams before or after birth.

If you're looking for a caring doctor, Dr. Maher is not it. After having problems with my pregnancy and having a lot of emotional turmoil and scares, I went to see him. He was rude, short and proceeded to insult me...I needed to "go to the gym and lose" weight, he wasn't surprised I had problems because my "eggs were old"...and so on. I would avoid him at all costs. He is not empathetic or caring in the least. Absolutely no bedside manner.

I was on my 8th pregnancy, with no live births. On my 8th, I was referred to Dr Maher. I never made it past 23 weeks on my other prenancies. I now have a beautiful baby boy thanks to him and his staff. I am 38 years old. My husband and I waited 18 long years for a child, a now we're starting a new life with our son. Theres not enough words to say thanks you. I speak very highly of him and his staff.

I am lucky I am on my third child. I can spot a quack OB. Red flags went up on my first visit when Dr. Maher did not perform a pelvic exam or a blood test. Later, when I complained of an infection. The doctor treated with out performing any test to properly diagnose the infection. The nurse assured me he just does things differently. When I did not get better, he continued to treat the infection with different antiboitics. Then finally he gave up on treating the infection even though the infection could cause a miscarriage or premature delivery. He never gave me a pelvic exam. If you are high risk, go to a normal OB, and see a different Doctor for the ultrasounds.

I met Dr. Maher, for the first time, just minutes before he delivered my 26 week preemie. I really enjoyed the fact that he was very blunt and to the point about what was about to happen to me and what could happen with our baby. My son is now 2 yrs old and doing great. I was back to see Dr. Maher for follow up appointments after he delivered my son and I will go see him again when I decide to try to conceive again. He is very easy to talk to and he is very clear about his answers. That was the first time I have ever left the doctors office without having questions still.
