Dr. James Peter Marlys

I have worked in the healthcare profession for 41 yrs. Finding Dr. Maryls was such a blessing. Never have I encountered a doctor who was so informative and caring at the same time. His staff is second to none! Always kind on the phone and go out of their way to help. I hope he NEVER retires. Never thought this kind of Dr. Exsisted??

Great Dr. Large clientele. Not unusual to wait 2 or even 3 hours to be seen. Appointment times are overbooked.Office manager difficult, not compassionate.

He, himself is a great doctor, VERY understanding, non judgmental and actually cares about your wellbeing unlike many other doctors I go to for the treatment that I need which happens to be suboxone. Most doctors I have personally been to for this kind of treatment Will be very wary of you. Great doctor, very understanding, kind, generous overall great guy. Staff could definitely pick up the slack a little. Not bad people, just could do a slightly better job in my opinion.

My husband and I have been patients with Dr. Marlys for 10 years. As a retired cardiology administrator, I know the good doctors in the area and Dr. Marlys is tops in his field. He keeps current with medical breakthroughs and takes time to explain conditions to patients. He is the doctor I highly recommend to my family and friends. He can treat many conditions himself and when necessary, his knowledge of local competent specialists exceeds expectations.

You do have to wait a little bit in the office on most visits but he is definatly worth it. Dr. Marlys truely cares about his patients and you feel so relaxed and comfortable with him. I highly recommend him to everyone I know.

The attitude of his office staff is horrible and the waiting time in his office is always an hour or more. The only reason I still go to Dr. Marlys is because I think he is a good doctor. Once you finally get in to see the doctor he never rushes you and spends as much time as you need addressing your concerns.

I was referred to Dr. Marleys by a nurse, my mother. She always picked good doctors. Everyone who goes to Dr. James Marleys knows they will have a long wait. But, it is well worth it. Dr. James Marleys is a very knowledgeable, caring man. He never rushes anyone out of the office......is very thorough......and listens to what you have to say. His referrals to other doctors is also very good. Dr. James Marleys has also been voted as The Favorite Doctor by the staff at Brick Meridian. I have never been disatisfied and have referred many patients to him, who are also happy. We know the wait is long, so bring things to do, and there is a TV in the waiting room, plus lots of current magazines of a wide variety.It appears that two of the people's comments are not for Dr. James Marleys, as he is referred to as a she.His receptionist gets a little cranky at times, but she is so busy and takes a lot of patient abuse.
