Dr. Mason has demonstrated extraordinary skill as a hematology/oncology specialist in caring for my very rare blood disorder. It also bears affirming that Dr. Mason and his team have taken action to advise me of sudden changes in my condition, all the while showing compassion in their words and deeds.

Firstly, I sympathize with the people who had a bad experience, it would help if you were more specific about the mistakes and problems you experienced, and who was at fault. I was fortunate to have a VERY POSITIVE experience with Dr. James Mason in 2011, in the hospital for a month receiving a stem cell transplant. It went very well and extended my life for many years. Unfortunately, I was given LEVAQUIN which has given me extremely painful neuropathy, not Dr. Mason's fault, the maker of this drug withheld info on the risks of this problem until years later. BE WARNED, LEVAQUIN! CIPRO! or AVELOX or their generic equivalents have dangerous side effects. Dr Mason is very skilled and knowledgable, and did a great job in my experience.

The bone marrow transplant prep was introduced and treated almost as an impending vacation for my husband with Acute Lymphoma. So many mistakes, complete and utter lack of pain control or care on the part of staff and a standard protocol for all...a standard dose no matter the size of patient, etc. Haven't heard from them in months, but they did receive the several hundred grand from our insurance. We are now to be seen by City of Hope DUE to the mistakes of Scripps to try to help us find as many months for my husband with our nine year old son as possible after their total failure and then almost immediate abandonment. Stay away from this place. They don't care and once they have your money you'll never hear from them again no matter what they say. I'd been warned. Don't be misled. It is the living version of Hades itself as our many of its staff "members" or supposedly trained drones. RUN don't walk.
