Dr. James Mark Mcbath, MD

I had surgery with Dr. McBath. We previously discussed him repairing my abdominal muscles and removing the adhesions as well as scar tissue. However this was not the case. After waking up from surgery, I found out he infact had not repaired the things we discussed. Your trust at this point in the doctor is now gone. I'm very sad because I trusted him. He was to much in a hurry to get to his Christmas vacation that he skipped some pretty important steps in my surgery. I'm very sad because I will have to have more surgery to fix these issues.

He's done several surgeries on me over the last 4 years and each one makes me feel like it's the first. He makes sure I understand all aspects of what we are going to do and comforts me through the process. Great doctor, great bedside manner.

Im so thankful I ran into Dr. McBaths history status so I can share my experience . Worst nightmare ever ... In 2007 I was diagnosed with breast cancer on my left breast by Dr. C. Cooper my gyn. She referred me to him , he ordered a biopsy and came out neg. because they it was done in the wrong area of my breast . When it was finally detected turned out to be 2 tumors and had spreaded to my lympnodes . Dr Mcbath did notify me that my cancer was either stage 3 or stage 4 . First of all I was very naive and uneducated with breast cancer so I asked the doctor whats gonna happen to me and what am I going to feel and go thru after I had decided to have a mastectomy done and that I wanted it done as soon as possible . He then responded he would be going out of town for a week and recommended to purchase a book about breast cancer so I could learn more about it . At that point I was so scared and depressed my gut feeling told me NOT to come back , I felt so lost and confused not knowing… what to do or where to go . I put it in the hands of God asking him to guide me and put with the doctors where I need to be . A friend of mine recommended MDAnderson Cancer Clinic , so I called and they told me they had a long waiting list and all they could do for now was to put me on the waiting list and didnt know how long it would be before a doctor would see me . I cried so much and was so depressed that I called my Prayer Warriors and asked for prayer to find a cancer doctor . Two days later a miracle happened !! MDANDERSON called me and said they had a doctor for me , To take my reports all my xrays , had a mastectomy on my left breast and 6 mos. Chemotherapy . I am truely Blessed ! Awesome doctors and hospital 8 years later I am cancer free and continue to go to MDAnderson for my cancer prevention check ups Thank you Check ups . I NOT recommend Dr. McBath , he showed NO compassion for me what so ever !!

Dr. Mc Bath has an excellent bedside manner and not only hears what his patient is saying, but he is listening too. Big difference! Very satisfied with results and will be back!

Dr. McBath is a very compasionate doctor and a great surgeon. I was very satisfied with my surgery.

I was referred to Dr McBath by my longtime GYN when told I needed a biopsy on both breasts. He ordered more tests and as a result I only needed one biopsy. I found him to be completely professional, taking time to answer all my questions. He did a surgical biopsy, & was very compassionate & caring. A good surgeon. Fellow-up today & again he took time to go over everything. Both he and his staff good competent caring people.
