Dr. James Peter Mcbrien, MD

My girlfriend had severe pain in only her eyes and head. Dr McBrien firstly dismissed the problem, He took the liberty to (non medically) touch her thigh multiple times and caress her shoulders like a creep with no inhibitions, leaving her feeling increcibly uncomfortable. He has no boundaries. If you're a woman, this doctor might not be the best choice.

I HAD A SERIOUS RASH, SERIOUS INFECTION (AS SUPPORTED BY FURTHER TEST RESULTS) AND DISCLOSED MY MEDICAL HISTORY AND IT WAS OBVIOUS I WAS IN NEED OF MEDICAL ATTENTION. HE LOOKED AT THE RASH AND CLAIMED IT WAS ECZEMA. WHEN I TOLD HIM THAT IT WAS CLEARLY NOT ECZEMA GIVEN ALL ELSE THAT WAS GOING ON WITH ME I WAS TOLD HE COULD NOT TREAT ME. WHEN ASKED WHY, IT WAS BECAUSE I WAS QUESTIONING HIS AUTHORITY. REALLY? A DOCTOR WHO CANNOT BE QUESTIONED IS NOT AN OBJECTIVE DOCTOR. HE WAS RUDE AND ARROGANT. WE LEFT AND TWO SUBSEQUENT DOCTORS PROVIDED ME WITH EXCELLENT CARE AND INFORMED ME THAT A FIRST YEAR MEDICAL STUDENT WOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT THE RASH WAS, THAT IT WAS SERIOUS, REQUIRED IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION AND HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT. THIS IS NOT A CARING DOCTOR. TI WILL BE REPORTING THIS DOCTOR AND GIVEN THE SUPPORT FROM THE OTHER MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WE ARE CONSIDERING A LAW SUIT. DO… NOT USE.

Dr. McBrien made me feel comfortable from the moment he stepped into the room. He came across as extremely knowledgeable and confident in his medical skills. He is detailed oriented, caring and due diligence in the execution of his medical skills. He is a true professional. He even thanked me for my 6 years of active duty military service as an Air Force Veteran. Highly recommend and am grateful for a lasting, positive experience.

Please avoid at all costs, he diagnosed me, my son-in-law and another family friend with pneumonia and put us all on Levaquin. First off when I went to get my x-ray report to give to my primary it said my lungs were fine, as did theirs^ . But what ticked me off most is that when I looked up levaquin, it is a LAST line drug with high risk of tendon rupture. So not only did this doctor misdiagnose me and others that I know, he put us at risk of TENDON RUPTURE unnecessarily, my son-in-law is an athlete thank god I looked this drug up. This doctor could have ruined his career with a fake diagnosis and using a TERRIBLE drug that was NOT needed. Please avoid this doctor and b knowledgeable about what medications you are given. My primary told me it's probably bronchitis which shocker isn't treated with antibiotics, he gave me a Medrol pack and now I finally feel better after 6+ weeks

Dr. McBrien has been a tremendous help to my son and I know so many others. He is very kind and understanding and takes the time to figure out and explain things in a way we can understand. Being a doctor to disabled individuals must be difficult, but Dr. McBrien seems to enjoy it. I know I speak for many when I say that he has been a God-send to us at UCP. Thank you.
