He was only interested in protecting his ego and was not interested in the published medical research regarding my condition and conditions. Steamroller. Avoid if your reality does not fit into his limited view.

I came to see Dr. McCallum due to some nodules discovered during a recent hospitalization. I was a bit nervous about what all of it meant and couldn't have been happier with his very careful and detailed examination, subsequent determinations and reassuring explanations. He was very personable and kind, which when you are anxious is just so appreciated, and I felt I couldn't have found anyone who would have offered me better care. I returned a year later for a re-check, and left with the same confidence that he was definitely the right doctor. (BTW, he had been referred to me by another physician at Scripps).

Dr. McCallum is an excellent caring, competent communicator who has the requisite medical knowledge and experience to effectively treat my Type II Diabetes Mellitus.

I have been seeing Dr. McCallum for years. He is very kind and professional - listens carefully to my concerns and always answers my questions. I have seen other physicians since I was diagnosed with Diabetes 2 sixteen years ago. He is the best - very thorough in his treatment of the disease.

Unless you have diabetes don't go to this doctor. Six week wait, then he had no idea about anything. I walked out and just about collapsed in the elevator. I certainly didn't want anyone to go get him to help me. He's a fool. He hadn't even bothered to read my chart before he came in. Stop the visit right there! His MA was so insulting I'd never let her in the room again. I'm going to let his supervisor know what he did. Women be aware, he may be a bit of a pervert. There is no explanation for what he did to me under the guise of "an exam".

Dr. McCallum has been monitoring thyroid nodules over a period of 1 year that involves 1 Hour ultrasound with precise measuring and growth of tumor evaluation. He is calm and concise with his communication. He answers every question I have with thought and care. I know that his evaluation of my condition is professional and comes from cutting edge up to date field knowledge.

Dr. Mccallum is an outstanding physician. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable in his field, he is caring and has exceptional bedside manner. He truly listens, answers all questions, and the patient never feels rushed. You will feel totally comfortable with Dr. Mccallum. He truly cares, and won't simply tell you what you want to hear but instead what is the best course of action for your health. He's a winner!

Dr. Mccallum is very thorough , he spend a reasonable time in the examination process , his follow up is prompt, he has excellent professional manners

Seems to be a MD which is relying only on blood test results to diagnose and is discounting and ignoring all clinical signs.

Dr James McCallum is an outstanding doctor. I have been his patient for the past ten years and he has always served me well.He gives you quality time and excellent advice in the control of diabetes and the use of insulin pumps. He treats you with respect and with great care. I look forward to my meetings with him. He makes you understand your condition and works with you on methods of control. He has my highest recommendation. You won't find a better doctor or person in the field.
