Dr. James Ward Mccauley, MD

Dr. McCauley took a call regarding another patient in the middle of my mother's appointment. We were there to establish a new primary care dr. after moving her to FL from Indiana. He went on to tell whoever was on the phone to give more laxatives. Didn't sound like anything too important that couldn't have waited until we were finished with our appointment. Very rude, unlike anything I've EVER experienced in a doctor's office and we will not be using him as my mother's primary care after this experience.

Called to schedule an apt., the lady that answered the phone seemed to be very busy and I felt like I was the least of her concern. She informed me that they do not start scheduling apts until 9am, she was very short with me on the phone and told me to call back after 9am. Suggestion, don't answer the phone if you're not working, it was a waste of my time and apparently theirs. They lost a patient because of this and I found a new Dr.

Dr Mc Cauley always referred me to specialists that were able to correct my health issues.For this reason I consider him an excellent primary physician.

I completely trust my doctor. There are not many doctors that will see you in the hospital and take such good care of you. I was sick and was in the hospital and he has such a wonderful bedside manner:-) In the office, I have had to wait to be seen but only depending on his schedule. If my doctor was not busy, I would be concerned. I would definitely recommend Dr. McCauley!

Dr MCauley has been very kind and attentive.. My husband and I moved here from St Pete 3 years ago and transferred all of our records... He has never rushed us and we find his staff courteous.

The doctors at this location do not take the time figure anything out. There is zero followup from any staff. Oh, and if you call don't expect someone to pick up the phone. So leave a message and wait for the pneumonia to set in. Thanks for nothing. I hope you all enjoy your insurance payouts and your prescription company kickbacks.

It is important that you carry someone with you to help ask questions and write down instructions, especially if you are elderly. Dr. McCauley has helped me with two elderly patients and he has been the kindest, most patient doctor. He will listen to you and spend whatever time is needed. When we have needed him for emergencies he has always been available--night or day. I also like that he is the doctor that comes to the hospital if you ask for his services.

Dr Mccauley is a really caring person, he is patient and willing to listen and consider all attitudes and appreciates what you think and what a patient expects. He has been our family doctor for 8 years and I feel really fortunate to have him as our family doctor.
