James McDonald, DDS
I believe that practicing dentistry is a privilege. Helping people improve their lives by improving and maintaining their oral health is the reason I became a dentist almost 30 years ago. I truly enjoy getting to know my patients and their families and have built some wonderful relationships with them over the years.
Education
Bachelor of Science with Distinction – University of Minnesota
Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Minnesota School of Dentistry
 I feel I owe it to my patients, who put their trust in me, to provide dental services in the best and most modern manner possible. The changes and developments in the field of dentistry have been amazing and provide me with exciting new ways to provide treatment for my patients. I continue my education through the Heartland Study Club and have been involved with organized dentistry through the North Dakota Board of Dental Examiners and the North Dakota Dental Association.
Our Team
…Our staff members are truly the heartbeat of our practice and have been a special blessing. They are all good people who are good at what they do. I’ve worked with most of them for a decade or two and consider them to be a very special group of friends.
Outside the Office
I am a Fargo, ND, native and am honored to live and work in this great community. My wife, Annie, and I have six children, Tina, Jaime, Berty, Bridger, Lark, and Calum, and two or more dogs at any given moment to keep us company. Our family loves to travel and go camping, and I personally love to fish. I am an avid baseball fan, and growing up in Fargo, the home of Roger Maris, I played, coached, and continue to love the game. Over the years, I have been a Red Cross Board member, have served on Church Boards and taught confirmation, been a youth athletic coach, and Redhawks Baseball Team Dentist.
