James Paul Mcdowell

In the past, Dr. McDowell had patience and time to explain things in a visit. During my last two visits, he was coming in late and presented no explanation whatsoever. He seemed irritable also. In responding to my concerns/questions, I felt like he did not treat them seriously. It's sad because I do like him personally but will most likely switch to another doctor.

This man gave me advice which had I not verified could have disastrous results. He said I could not take a specific supplement because it was incompatible with my cardiac condition. After researching the matter, and speaking with my PCP, I determined that his advice was not only erroneous but potentially harmful. Dr. McDowell is not as knowledgeable as your average physician and his diagnosis and advice should not be taken seriously. He is a dangerous man masquerading as a physician.

This is one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. He is, simply put,a bad, bad, doctor. Among other negative qualities he has a dour bedside manner, he is condescending, and is not current with the latest medical news. I would not see this man again if I only had a splinter in my finger. It's too bad he is allowed to practice (and I use this term sardonically) medicine in this country.)
