Dr. James McElroy, MD, DOM, is an Assistant Professor and a board-certified specialist in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. With advanced expertise in trauma and emergency surgery as well as critical care medicine, Dr. McElroy focuses exclusively on treating adult patients. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1996, completed his surgical residency at Wright State University in 2001, and later undertook a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Ohio State University Hospital in 2018. Based in Parkersburg, WV, he practices at multiple sites including General Surgery in PMC III, Wound Care Center, and Southgate Medical Center—providing comprehensive surgical and critical care services to adults in the region.
