Dr. James Donald Mckay, DO

Don't bother if you have Fibromyalgia. He, and his whole office, have decided this is not worth their time to treat.

After he diagnosed me with RA,he did not listen to my complains of pain and swelling and scheduled appointments many months apart. My symptoms worsened and I was not able this get a "sick" appointment. The front desk staff was rude and condescending. He is more of a researcher than a caring doctor.

When I first came to Mr. McKay I was in extreme pain and my body was crippled up. I was soon put in a drug study (Benlysta) for Lupus. Now 5 years later I have no pain and am able to live a normal life. The only medication I take now for my lupus is Benlysta, I was able to go off all my other meds for lupus. He has changed my life! I would and have recommended him to others.

I called this doctor to get an appointment because I am suffering tremendously. At first, they make an appointment for me but then called to cancel it because he had to attend a seminar. I was then rescheduled and was out for a family emergency so had to reschedule again. I inadvertently forgot my next appt and asked to reschedule. They have been tremendously rude and inhospitable. They want me to pay money before I can get an appointment for services I did not receive. I apologized for the inconvienence I received. the major issue is I am in severe pain and need help. They do not care. Yuck !

The wait to obtain an appointment was too great. Still, once I saw the doctor, I was very pleased with his thoughtful and considerate approach was excellent. My previous rheumatologists were none too good. He is by far the best of four I have seen over the years. I have Lupus and I am very ill. He seems to be aggressively treating me. His nurse is in touch with me and my primary care doc constantly. Overall, my experience has been very good and I would recommend Dr McKay to anyone.

Too long of wait times to get appointment and if a appointment time must be rescheduled, office staff informed me that he will drop me as a patient after two changes. There is a disconnect of communication after I reviewed risks and benfits of a MTX and decided not to take it. Chart notes not accurate and negative comments made that were misrepresented or misunderstood by doctor. Changing to another RA doctor.

I have lupus. Dr. McKay is doing a great job helping me to find a way to get into a remission that will last. He is the best Rheumatologist I have seen and I have seen several. I highly recommend him for anyone who is suffering from this disease.

I HAD BEEN TO SEVERAL DOCTORS, HE DX ME ASAP AND STARTED A MEDICATION REGIME AND HAS CONTINUED TO HELP MY OVERALL HEALTH FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW ALWAYS HE LISTENS TO ME AND ACTS LIKE YOUR THE ONLY PT. ANYONE WITH ARTHITIS I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM HIGHLY.
