Dr. James Anthony Metrailer, MD

I have an EXTREMELY rare congenital disorder that was causing complications that were landing me in the hospital 6 to as many as 10 times per year for 5 years. I had been to two clinics here, had a complete workup at Baylor by a highly recognized Gastroenterologist and saw a specialist in Baton Rouge. All I would here is "I have never heard of this condition nor ever seen anyone with your internal makeup. I do not know what is causing the problem." Thank God my neighbor told me about Dr. Metrailer. He diagnosed me right away during my first visit about 8 years ago. I cannot be cured but I have only been in the hospital ICU 2 times and in the hospital 3 other times in the past 8 years! This doctor does not overbook his schedule therefore there is no long wait time, he can take time to listen to his patients and he has an excellent bedside manner. He was an internist before he went into Gastroenterology. He is very knowledgeable. I completely trust his advice and literally put my life… in his hands. A+++ doctor!!

After years of the problem, Dr. Metrailer gave the right diagnosis. I had seen two other doctors in Little Rock. The doctor also met me in the waiting room and escorted me to his office. I liked that he welcomed me. Best of all his remedy worked.
